Tim Orpen made an impact when he was the outright winner of the Royal Overseas League Music Competition. Before that, he was a woodwind finalist in the BBC Young Musicians Competition. His Wigmore Hall debut was last year, and he has performed widely in the UK and abroad. He will play the Mozart clarinet concerto at the Royal Albert Hall, with Sir David Willcocks. This recital is supported by the Countess of Munster Music Trust.
John Reid read Music at Clare College Cambridge and at the Royal Academy. His many awards include the Kathleen Ferrier accompaniment prize and the Gerald Moore award. He has played for Joan Rodgers and Anthony Rolfe-Johnson. His Wigmore Hall debut was with Lucy Crowe in 2004
