Nigel Cliffe joined the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in 1999 and has worked with Domingo, Pappano, Wigglesworth, Rattle and Hogwood. He gave his first Wigmore Hall recital in 1990 and the following year made his debut at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, where he regularly returns for their Good Friday St. Matthew Passion as bass soloist. A serious performer on the one hand (he co-founded the Norwich Schubert Weekend) but has been described as "...a gifted funny man" after his Papageno in Richard Jones' Magic Flute.
Paul Turner is an Associate of the Royal Academy. He has played as accompanist at all the London venues. He has accompanied singers such as Maria Ewing, Patricia Rozario, Jane Eaglen and Ruggero Raimundi. He has played for Nicholas Daniel, Jack Brymer, and has made appearances with the Coull Quartet.
